Questions Dalux receives
At Dalux, we are frequently asked to create integrations with other platforms or applications. As Dalux, our focus is on providing a well-structured and functional API, while the creation of integrations (web services) is left to other parties. Given the growing demand for data exchange, Dalux customers need to be able to rely on a professional and trustworthy digitalization and integration partner.
Client challenge
Data exchange between platforms and applications is increasingly requested by Dalux customers. To some extent, Dalux customers can choose their own systems, but more often projects involve collaborative consortia. Additionally, legal requirements are driving the need for structured information provision, such as the Dutch Quality Assurance Act for Construction (WKB) and upcoming obligations around the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
Furthermore, research has shown that the majority of failure costs in construction are caused by insufficiently accurate information on-site and data exchange within the collaborative supply chain.
Our solution
The HORIZON VIEW platform is a no-code data integration and workflow management platform, allowing our customers to easily connect data sources and applications themselves. The ‘no-code data integration’ aspect is particularly appealing to customers, as they are no longer dependent on external web service parties to set up or adjust their desired workflows. This accessible form of digitalisation enables efficient data exchange to optimise both internal and external processes.
Result
Over the past year, Dalux has organised several workshops together with Horizon Internet Technologies to map out integration requests from our customers. These included integrations with systems such as AFAS, WKB inspection apps, other Document Management Systems, Relatics, and automated configuration of Business Intelligence environments.
For example, for SPIE, an integration was created between Dalux Box and Relatics, eliminating a large amount of manual work for SPIE. This case was presented by SPIE at the Dalux User Day in the Netherlands, and also at our annual Dalux Summit in Copenhagen, attended by 1,500 of our international customers.
Additionally, it is valuable for our customers to receive support from Horizon’s Solution Management Model. It provides the right operational support, and through their Life Cycle Management process, companies receive rapid assistance in developing new functionalities.
