Client challenge
In large projects, especially government projects, SPIE receives the complete set of requirements that must be met throughout the construction phase via the Relatics platform.
This set of requirements, which can amount to up to 2,500 items per project, must then be manually transferred to Dalux, the software program used on site. Afterwards, progress must be manually reported back from Dalux to Relatics. This process is extremely time-consuming and often leads to insufficiently accurate data.
Our solution
Using HORIZON VIEW, we can connect the Dalux and Relatics platforms with the available APIs without writing any software code. We then configure the workflows so that data is automatically maintained between both systems. Both the data integration and the workflow management can be fully executed and maintained independently by SPIE’s team, eliminating their dependency on software developers.
Result
In a session lasting just a few hours, we fully guided SPIE through the workings of the HORIZON VIEW platform. During this session, we established the connection between Dalux and Relatics and configured the workflow to ensure data is automatically kept up to date between both platforms.
In addition to significant cost savings by eliminating time-intensive manual tasks, data accuracy in both systems has greatly improved. Costs resulting from changes in requirements that are not communicated in time to the construction site (failure costs) are drastically reduced with this approach.
