“BIM management requires good access to all necessary drawings and documents. Currently, we are performing BIM coordination for a large construction consortium, working with four different Document Management Systems (DMS).
Until recently, all these documents were manually transferred between the systems. This not only required a significant amount of time and money, but it also meant that it took at least a week for everything to be up-to-date again.
With the HORIZON VIEW platform from Horizon Internet Technologies, we have taken a straightforward first step by creating a connection and workflow between Dalux’s DMS and Docstream from Pro4all. Files between these two environments are now synchronized automatically daily. This not only saves a lot of time and cost, but we can now sync daily instead of weekly, preventing us from working with outdated documents.
If we want to get capacity issues and costs in the construction sector under control, we will need to work together on digitalization.”
